Many cultural books focus on famous tourist destinations, the ones that appear in magazines, newspapers, and YouTube channels, and where everyone goes. But few people talk about the cultural values, customs, and ways of being of the local people. And it is these ways of being, these customs and these values that influence those who come from outside. These are the things that make people want to come back. Medellín has famous tourist sites, but it is not the sites that attract visitors, but the people. This is the spirit of the book, to show the human quality of Colombians, and in this specific case, the inhabitants of Medellín: the paisas.
