During the weekends Tim lives with his father, and occasionally he visits his mother. But during the week he lives with his Indonesian grandparents in the Molenstraat. There he can help in the garden, and with baking Indonesian cake. Tim thinks a lot, but does not always understand what is happening around him. Like the neighbor who comes to visit, with a very fat belly. Suddenly there is water on the floor, and a race against the clock kicks off. 

A sweet story about a young boy who doesn't understand much of what is happening around him. Although the main character is a child, the book is especially interesting for adults, because of the many references and humor that adults understand, even though the boy doesn't.

This is the third novel in the series Bij ons in de Molenstraat. Each book in this series has a different person from this street as the main character.
